Bayard Bridge Celebration Planned for August First
The Bayard Bridge celebration was set for Thursday August first at 9 a.m. A grand march will start at Bayard and end at the bridge south end for speeches and exercises with shade and seats for speakers. A Gering Bayard ball game is billed as the afternoon main event with the Gering band providing music. There will be a basket dinner instead of barbecue, and attendees should bring a basket or be provided for.

Accident at The Hall Game Injures Mr Fowler
During a game at The Hall Mr C W Fowler sustained a severe back injury after John McKee collided while attempting to stop a ball. Two ribs were broken where an old injury existed. Dr Dern and Rev Beecher aided him at the old cantteen porch. He recovered enough to move about by evening after a tense concern.

Mystic Eastern Star chapter formed in Sidney with 25 charter members
The city welcomed a new chapter Providence of the Order of the Eastern Star led by Worthy Matron Mrs. C. P. Davis. Grand officials from North Platte directed the ceremonies at the Masonic Hall with 25 charter members and a banquet for sixty. Mrs. Davis spearheaded the effort, praised for her energy, as the group celebrated a memorable initiation and reception.
