They estimate a two thousand dollar cost and are negotiating to bring a steam drill from Wyoming. If secured, operations will start upon its arrival as subscriptions and details are arranged en route. Local farm labor will cover sinking the well with cash subscriptions from Sidney businessmen and landowners financing casing and materials.
