The storm reduced the expected crowd at Kreuger dance Saturday night yet about fifty attended. Vath's orchestra played well though one member blamed mosquito lighting for flat notes. Opening Sunday drew good attendance as Dick Kreuger and family run a pleasure resort offering public enjoyment and potential profits.

Happy Reunion Brings Relatives Together After Years

Mrs J J Heinlein of Washington arrives for an extended visit with Miss Clara Downey of Sidney and Mrs A B Johnson of the South divide. The sisters had not met in nineteen years. Mrs Heinlein, widow of a Methodist minister, makes her home in the city where her two sons in law work for the government.

In compliments to band, Wednesday evening Mrs 3 Bixby entertained in honor of the Juvenile band of which her son Harry is a member. Invitations went to the lady friends of the band boys and a jolly social followed with delightful refreshments. The boys listen for another summons.

Wise Purchase Aids City Water Plant Upgrade

Mayor E. W. Ziebert water commissioner C. M. Wright and Electric Service Co. manager A. S. Hardy traveled to Denver early this week and bought a new high capacity motor and pump for the city water plant. The stronger equipment will meet rising demand and improve system reliability.

Carnival Arrives With New Sideshows For August Week

Nat Reece returns to town to open a summer carnival starting August 8. He presents Gay Paree Human Butterfly High Diving Dogs and new acts The Merry Whirl The Deep Sea Diving Princess Nell trick pony and a Wonderland Show plus three pit shows including a snake with a mermer Wild Rose and a den of alligators. Reese's Military Brass Band will play free concerts daily. Last year poor weather caused losses but attendees praised the high quality entertainment.

We Are Leaving For New Gapen Block

After a week of fasting and meditation the speakers aim to move into the new Gapen block this Saturday. They face a colonial scale setup with no business refused though copy may be set in alleys or on drugs. The move tests patience as they work through the trying ordeal and hope patrons overlook past sins.

Democratic delegates named to state convention
