Sidney School Board Organizes for Coming Year

The Sidney board of education met at the director's office Monday evening and organized with J G L McIntosh as moderator Leroy Martin as director and A K Reenlees as treasurer They discussed introducing domestic science and manual training and planned to expand space adding a large attic laboratory and converting the current laboratory into a domestic science hall The manual training department will be in the basement.

Noble Cause Drives Church Box for Christian Home

The Methodist Ladies Aid asks townsfolk to donate items for the Christian Home at Council Bluffs Iowa. A box will be filled at the church parlors on Friday July 22. Mothers Meeting Program at Mrs Haskell Home

The last Mothers meeting featured readings by Mrs Jason Lobb and Mrs Haskell, solos by Miss Abernathy Florence Merifield and the Jones sisters, a vocal duet by Mrs Gamblin and Ella Erickson, a poem by Mrs Haskell, and a 10 cent lunch. Proceeds support the Drinking Fountain fund with a 34.00 donation from the Junior League to the same cause. Hiram Harper, treasurer, announced the gift with a brief speech.
