Loading jeweler and his repair tools in Nebraska

The nineteenth century jeweler and watchmaker could not claim the title of loading jeweler. He had in his repair department a lathe and knew how to use it. Anything in watch or clock work that cannot be done by Thoelocke cannot die done in Nebraska. Wednesday a jolly party of pic vickers went out to the springs north east of town for a day's sport and recreation. The party consisted of Messrs Wsam, Doran, D. Gutfreund, Atkins, Ickes, Moore, Baker, Pease, Dawson, Hilton, Wieland, Ross, McIntosh, and Grey, all of tender years. Accompanying these promising young men were the following promising, but they wouldn't promise, young ladies: Misses Bettendorf, Burg, Tobin, McEvoy, Barnhart, Walliams, Urbach, Hull, Howard, and Mamie, Julia and Annie McFidder. Dinner was served with ice cream and lemon accompaniments. The party returned home early in the evening looking happy and free. To Country Shippers. The following from the Chicago Trade Bulletin might be read with profit by many farmers, and also by our grain dealers: The receipts of new grain arriving are selling at a very irregular range of prices, and it may not be out of place to remind country shippers that this in a measure may be attributed to the condition in which it is forwarded to market. New grain should be properly cleaned in many instances car lots just miss grading owing to a want of proper cleaning. It should be allowed to pass through the sweat before shipping. A little more care in these respects would result in great benefit to all parties interested.
