Disney World themed Cheyenne County Fair Parade set Aug 17

The Cheyenne County Fair Board sponsors a Disney themed parade in Sidney on Sunday August 17 at 3 p.m. Entries judged in horse groups commercial religious youth and organizations with prizes of 75 50 25 and a 100 grand prize. Parade route runs from 19th and Jackson to a reviewing stand near the county courthouse and back via King Street.

Trailer Unhitched Causes Morning Crash In Sidney

A trailer detached from a parked semi in north Sidney on 26th Ave and rolled backward through the street, damaging seven autos. Vehicles damaged include a 1965 Volkswagen owned by Bruce Christofferson and several cars at Grace Baptist Church, with losses noted for Alice Hughbanks, Erwin Phelps, Lloyd Guggenmos, Brian Phelps, and Jimmie Phelps. The Erwin Phelps car was wedged against the church wall. Charles Gartner operated the semi. Police found no defects in the unit.
