Loring Tobler announces a Girls Barrel Racing event for Cheyenne County Centennial Rodeo August 20 to 22. Entry is $20 with a 6 pm August 19 deadline. GRA points apply, entries to Loring Tabler Route 1 Box 1. Events include calf roping bull riding steer wrestling bareback saddle bronc and a wild cow milking contest.

Centennial Costume Contest Draws Few Entries
The Prairie Schooners Square Dance Club and the Centennial Celebration Committee announce a Centennial Costume Dress Contest judged on Sunday August 20. Prizes: men women and family first 25 second 15 third 10. children infant to 16 first 12 second 8 third 5. Entrants must wear Centennial dress. open to Cheyenne County residents and others.
