Bridgeport 4-H Contest Winners Are Announced
Fourteen 4-H' ers competed in Bridgeport's annual Demonstration Contest held Tuesday July 18 per County Extension Agent Don Siffring. Senior first place went to Dianne Watson Bridgeport for Accent on You and Jerry Cunningham Broadwater for Acetylene Welder. Second place went to Carol Sherfey for What Happens to Elmer and Patrick Phillips for A New Method of Identification. The award for the best meat.

Dryland 4-H Club Picnic and Tour Highlights
The Dryland Touchies 4-H club held its annual picnic on July 16, 1967 at Joe Policky’s home with 11 families attending. Review talks covered a trip to Massachusetts and a display of grand and reserve champion fat steer plaques. The event included a member home tour and demonstrations by Cow Belles and other 4-H participants.

4 Leaf Clover 4-H Club Meeting Recap
The 4 Leaf Clover 4-H Club met in the 4-H building on July 10 with 14 members present. Demonstrations were given by Dixie Lostroh Cal lae Curless Vickie Atkins and Kathy Fitzgerald. Leader Mrs Cruise with Mrs Atkins set up biscuit and muffin practice judging. Lunch was served by Dixie Lostroh Suzanne Talich and Callae Curless. After business, costumes for the song contest were discussed and singing practiced.

Feeder Cattle Numbers Grow in Nebraska Feedlots
The 1,044,000 head of cattle on feed in Nebraska feedlots on July 1 were up two percent from a year earlier, per the State Federal Division of Agricultural Statistics in Lincoln. Omaha area feeders held steady with last year but fell eight percent from June. Other large lots statewide rose eight percent vs last year yet dropped five percent from June 1.

4 H Club Meets. plans upcoming fair events and tours
Pins and Pans 4 H Club met July 18 with Joan Sanders calling roll and minutes. New business included a song contest, modeling practice, and style review. Junior leaders noted fair entries. Snack provided by Sanders and Linda Mahin before games. Better the Best 4 H club toured July 16 at Bob Misegadis home viewing Baby Beef and crop projects then had lunch at Dean Rexroth's home.
