Retail sales in Sidney area fall again in March
The University of Nebraska Bureau of Business Research reports discouraging retail sales across Nebraska and in the Sidney region for March. Sidney sales, excluding motor vehicles, drop 11.1 percent from March 1974. Southern Panhandle counties down 9.6 percent. Building activity rises year over year, power consumption increases, while banking activity is mixed. Only Grand Island and Holdrege show sales above March 1974 after price adjustments.
