Property Recovered at North Platte Robbers Arrested

Burglars looted the Doran Store last Monday night taking shoes clothes and eight dozen gloves worth about 3150. They broke a rear glass panel and crawled through then packed goods in overalls before fleeing by train No 102. Glove bundles were buried and later recovered by a drayman. Three suspects Tom Murray Edward J. Warner and Wm Linn were captured in North Platte with Duke's Mixture and cigarette papers found among their possessions. Sheriff Babb and Attorney Gapen secured evidence to convict.

Orchardist Stephens Visits Cheyenne County for Wind Breaks

E Stephens of Crete Nebraska visited St George Cattle Co in Cheyenne County to plan wind breaks of black locust ash and mulberry for a ranch four miles east of town. He heads Crete nurseries with extensive contract orchards across Nebraska and notes forthcoming exhibits at Fremont July 28 29 and representation at the 1904 St Louis Exposition.

Fourth at Sidney Sparks Old Time Fourth Celebration

A large Sidney crowd celebrated the Fourth with a daytime parade ending at the courthouse lawn. Colonel Trognitz led the procession on a high horse, the Sidney Brass Band performed, and many business and civic floats entertained. Races, sports, a ball game, a bowery dance, and fireworks capped the festivities. A few incidents touched off by Carrie Nation and a firecracker mishap were quickly resolved.

Crystal Wedding of Mr and James C Hudson

A July 8 reception in Sidney celebrated the fifteenth anniversary of Mr and Mrs Hudsons marriage. Moonlight lanterns lit a fairy yard while guests praised the host and hostess and the couple renewed vows with bridesmaids present. gifts included crystal and other keepsakes.
