Disaster at Hanna Mine Leaves 234 Perish
Dispatch from Hanna Wyoming reports a mine No 1 explosion at Union Pacific coal yard killing 234 miners. Rescue efforts through the night found four mules alive and many trapped by rock and timber as families gathered at the shaft. Most victims are Hungarian and Finnish with many married and leaving families.
