Marching Maroons to Parade of Roses in 1966

Sidney High School's Marching Maroons are invited to perform in the 1966 Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena on New Year's Day. About 90 band parents approved a plan to raise roughly 16,000 dollars for travel by bus, with 4,000 in auxiliary funds already on hand. Each of 140 current band members would contribute 60 dollars, plus 60 dollars from 20 sponsors. total fundraising aims to exceed 16,000 dollars.
