It focuses on attitude self respect self discipline and overall fitness through lifting agilities and running with routines daily including 100 pushups and 100 squat thrusts.
Sidney Red Raider basketball team, ranked second in the state, beat Gothenburg 70 to 51 with a 28 point fourth quarter. They then defeated Ogallala 64 to 43, led by Chuck Haupt 25 and Steve Cook 10, and beat Alliance 65 to 51 with strong second half pressure and high free throw accuracy.
The Sidney High Red Raider cagers meet Chadron Cardinals at 8 00 in the junior high gym led by top scorer Chuck Haupt. Chadron, hampered by graduation, is building a young lineup as it eyes the district tournament.
Sidney High Pep Club members promote the annual Sweetheart Dance by selling posters patches stationery and scripture writings to raise money. Items cost one to three dollars and orders can be placed with any Pep Club member.
