Death of an Old Citizen Gustaf Brott Pioneer of Trognitz

Gustaf Brott, born 1818 in Sweden with a German father, died January 15 at his home after a brief pneumonia illness and was buried January 17 in Potter cemetery. Survived by his widow and four sons Peter and Andrew of Denver, Ed and Lewis who cared for him. A respected pioneer homesteader who moved from Knox county Illinois to Gothenburg then Cheyenne county Nebraska before settling north of Potter. Funeral conducted by Rev. Shultz of Dix.
