Kimball County To Be Site Of Deep Oil Test
The Nebraska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission reported an unusually deep wildcat oil test planned in Kimball County. The No. 1 Schneider-Scott on NW beneak 5-16-52 aims for about 6 300 feet in a granite test, pursued by Sundance Oil Co and Exeter Drilling and Exploration Inc. The commission notes J-sand tests nearby reach about 5 000 feet, with the deepest known well about 8 700 feet west of Kimball.
