All Hospital Board Officers Are Reelected
Ira Steward was reelected chairman of the Cheyenne County Memorial Hospital board of directors at the board's first meeting of the year Wednesday night. Other officers, all reelected, are A. J. Jorgenson vice president Mrs. Julia O'Connell treasurer Jack H. Lowe secretary. Steward and Lowe were renamed to the board for three year terms at the annual meeting Jan. 9. The board approved the medical staff alignment for 1956. Final federal audit of the hospital construction fund is expected any day.Virtually all work has been completed including replacement of faulty window glass in the west wing. The board faces paying off the unpaid balance on the project once the federal audit is finished. The hospital has been running virtually full since the first of the year, Administrator Frank Harris said. The operation was in the red for seven months from last June until the first of the year.

Woman Killed In Car Crash Near Bushnell
One woman died and two others were critically injured in a one car crash on Highway 30 six miles west of Bushnell at about 1 a.m. Marie Robison, 32, of Kimball, was killed when the car left the road hit a cement abutment and rolled into a ditch. Survivors include her husband Jack and two daughters. Jean Holder 22 and Don Janousek 29 were listed in critical condition at Kimball County Hospital. Jim Speck 26 was reported fair. It was the first auto fatality of the year in the southern Panhandle and the 15th motor vehicle death in Nebraska since Jan 1.
