Acre Reserve Sign Up Opens in Nebraska for 1958
Lincoln The sign up for the 1958 acreage reserve phase of the soil bank program begins this week in Nebraska. Farmers must have a soil bank base established for each farm before a 1958 acreage agreement can be signed. Existing bases will be used for 1958 agreements on spring planted crops. Farmers should bring 1956 and 1957 farm records to county ASC offices to set up the soil bank base, which is roughly the average acreage of soil bank base crops grown in the past two years, excluding hay.

The OK Tire Shop east of Sidney on Highway 30 was broken into last night. Walter Riggs discovered the break-in this morning. Thieves forced entry through the back door and took seven recapped tires and eight new tires. Deputy Gene Morris investigated. no other losses reported.
