The Sidney Country Club retained Paul F. Holmlin and Co. of Aurora Colo. as architects for the clubs new 12000 pool. Plans for the corrugated steel pool are to be finished by Feb 15. Ed Swanson, pool fund chair, said $2500 has been raised or pledged and a kick off dinner will be held in two to three weeks. The pool will be financed through stock sales.

Missing Potter Farmer Found In Cheyenne
Roy Jacobson a 56 year old potter farmer reported missing since August was found alive in Cheyenne by Cheyenne County Deputy Sheriff Kermit Brumbaugh. Jacobson said he was unaware of the search and was located after an hour and a half of searching while on business in Cheyenne. He had worked at a cab company for three weeks during Christmas holidays and provided a residential address. Authorities previously linked a decomposed body found in Sheridan to him but the FBI later identified the body as Harry Coons a former Missouri penitentiary inmate. The deputy noted the discovery did not seem to disturb Jacobson.

Youth Bruised When Car Hits Concrete Railing
An 18 year old Sidney youth Melfin F Schwartz of 1104 13th Ave received back bruises when his car struck a concrete bridge while returning from Chappell around 2:15 am. The car was a total loss with damage to front and sides. Brumbaugh investigated and took Schwartz to the hospital. physician expected release Friday afternoon after overnight observation.

Charles Carlson a 23 year old Potter farmer shot his leg while target practicing with a pistol on his farmThursday. He was reported in satisfactory condition at Memorial Hospital Sidney after apparently touching the hammer as he reholstered the gun striking his thigh and bone. Carlson, alone at the time, called his uncle for help and was taken to the hospital. his wife was at a bank in Potter at the time of the accident.
