Sidney sailor Dame Jarred, 20, injured in a bus truck collision near Rock Springs Wyoming on December 31, has been moved by Air Force plane from Lowry AFB to Fitzsimons Army Hospital in Denver. He suffered a broken leg and other injuries as two died and 28 were hurt. A coroner jury found the bus driver negligent.

Pennington's Mother Killed in Birmingham Crash
M s E Pennington 74 of Birmingham Alabama died instantly in an auto truck collision on January 3. One other woman also died in the crash and two people were critically injured. Pennington was the mother of Lt Col Edward Pennington who served at Sioux Ordnance Depot and was with the Army in the Far East.
