The Sidney Nebr board adjourned to meet January 4 1906 with all members present. Audited claims include road fund disbursements for Owens Emanuelson and Dugger and a monthly janitor salary. J W McDaniel appointed janitor with coal allowances. The Sidney Telegraph named official paper for 1906 with a 490 run and stationery contract pending bond approval. County physician Dr Stowitts set at 200 annually. Knox County Superintendent report shows receipts 179.10, disbursements 138.50, balance 40.60. Board adjourned sine die.

Man Fatally Injured On Upton Pacific Coal Chutes
A shift worker, Sabas Gatbas, was killed Monday evening when he was run over by a short line of cars in the yards near Upton Pacific coal chutes. He died shortly after. coroner’s inquest exonerated the railroad, citing his own carelessness as cause. Also noted, a social tea hosted by Mrs. Sharmer honored Katherine and Irene McTiernan, home from school, and guests praised the hostess.
