New Years Day Wedding of Louella Adams and Lester Tarkington
Miss Louella Adams married Lester B. Tarkington of North Platte on January 1, 1907 at four in the afternoon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Adams. The ceremony was conducted by Rev. Corbett in the Episcopal rite. The bride wore white silk and carried carnations. attendants included Miss O’Kane and Ed Tracy. The quiet home ceremony sent the couple to Omaha and Iowa for a visit before settling in North Platte in a home prepared by the groom’s family.
