Sidney area braces for harvest delays amid heavy rains and flooding

Across Cheyenne and surrounding counties farmers endure significant 1962 harvest disruption from two to five inch downpours. Flooding along Lodgepole Creek and mid Sidney saturates fields while hailstorms threaten crops. Despite delays, harvest progress resumes as soils dry, with public works addressing flood control and infrastructure needs.
