City Inspector Dean Starr reports Sidney’s 1974 building permits reached 918 874 dollars, the highest since 1963. December added 51 776 dollars, including a 33 500 dollar home at 1510 Summit Drive and a 4 500 dollar garage.

Two year old Mike McFarland, once weighing 2 pounds 2 ounces at birth and thought dead, now thrives in Salt Lake City. His mother Susan was about 52 months pregnant when he was born at University of Utah Medical Center. A doctor announced the baby could not breathe, died, then an orderly found movement under a sheet and saved him.
