City League Basketball: Conoco Wins Final Round
Conoco clinched the city league title with a 68-52 win over Rudy's Market as Egging upset Sidney Business Institute 46-41 and SAD forfeited to undefeated Sidney. Dale Butler led Conoco with 19 points while Bart Bondegard scored 16 for Rudy's and Fastenau had 11 for Egging amid a balanced scoring night.

Nebraska spring turkey permits open April two three to May eight
Lincoln Nebraska permits for the 1966 spring turkey season are available from April 23 to May 8. Residents may apply immediately on a first come first served basis for 1400 permits with nonresidents allowed after March 1. New units open Hal sey Nuckolls and Verdigre with 125 250 50 permits respectively and other counties allot more totaling an increase of 125 permits from last year. Shooting hours run from half an hour before sunrise to half an hour after sunset with a shifted start to deter illegal kill.
