Fish Ladder To Boost Spawning In Winter Creek
Winter Creek east of Bayard will gain a fish ladder to aid trout moving upstream during spawning season. M O Steen of the Nebraska Game Forestation and Parks Commission advised the West Nebraska Sportsmen’s Association. The ladder aims to extend spawning grounds along Winter Creek feeding the North Platte River near Bayard, improving future sport and fish hatching. Next association meeting is March 7 at 7 30 PM at the Scottsbluff YMCA hall. dues are 1 50 annually.
