Edward Furer a 56 year old Sidney businessman was killed in an automobile wreck near Hillrose Colorado. Funeral services were at the Presbyterian Church with Rev Howard Osborne officiating and burial in Sidney cemetery. Mrs Furer injured remained in a Sidney hospital after being brought from Brush. Other accident victims recovered. The crash involved Len Knutson Denver driver and two cars on icy roads. no inquest was ordered. Furer had long lived in Sidney operating a produce business after earlier work as a grocer and state inspector.

Forgery Suspect Pleads Guilty in County Criminal Case
John E. Shuey a 24 year old held in county jail for two weeks pleaded guilty to uttering and publishing a forged instrument and possession of forged matter after an attempt to cash a check at The American National Bank.
