Masquerade Carnival Dazzles Sidney Crowd
Knights of Pythias staged a lavish skating rink masquerade in Sidney with ornate decorations, 20 large lamps, and a two hundred plus audience. The event featured dozens of costumes from clowns to royalty, raised about 600 dollars for the Castle Hall fund, and drew praise for entertainment and organization despite winter weather easing for the night. Governor Morton sent a supportive note with a 300 dollar check for tickets.

The Bayard Bridge project moves forward with The Wrought Iron Bridge Co of Canton Ohio built the superstructure for two thousand dollars and Bayard residents to furnish piles drive them haul lumber and grade approaches. Work started and should finish by early May benefiting Sidney and Cheyenne at low county cost with local leaders Sterns Wisner and McCarter praised for pushing the bid through.
