Nebraska Aims Junior Interstate Link Scottsbluff To Sidney
State Engineer Tom Doyle released a preliminary drawing of a junior interstate for Nebraska detailing 278 miles of roads with the Scottsbluff Sidney link at the bottom of the priority list. Funds would rise to 1 million, 3.6 million, and 4 million over the next three years if the highway trust fund act stays alive. The plan includes major routes such as the north Omaha expressway and an east-west link near Interstate 80, while some segments would not be freeways. The state also pushes for a 55 mile per hour speed limit to preserve highway funds after next week.
