Jaycees To Handle Scouts Fund Drive In Sidney
The Sidney Junior Chamber of Commerce will lead the annual Boy Scout finance drive in Sidney this week. Potter farmer Ernest Tracy dies by personal safety gunshot
Ernest Tracy 52, a Potter area farmer, died Thursday from a self-inflicted gunshot. Rites held Saturday at Craig Mortuary with Rev. Waldemar Gies officiating. body sent to Blair Neb. for burial. Born August 7, 1897 in Butte Montana, Tracy lived with his aunt Mary Nelson since boyhood. He never married and survived by numerous aunts and uncles including Nelsons of Potter Stoneham and Blair, with inquest not to be held.

CAA Plans Move to Airport Near Sidney
CAA plans to move its intermediate field from west of Sidney to the new municipal airport south of town. An administration building will be built this spring with a June 30 completion date. The lease expires that date, and interim extension is possible. The airport commission hopes REA power will reach the field by June 30, enabling integrated operation and 24 hour attendant service to attract transient and charter flights.
