Premature Mine Blast Kills Brother of Dalton Grain Man
Henry Brestel brother of Dalton grain man Walter Brestel was killed by a premature dynamite explosion in a Wisconsin mine eight miles west of Boulder Colorado late Tuesday night. Brestel 40 was blown apart by 86 sticks of dynamite. Clarence Hodson is seriously injured in Boulder hospital. Only Brestel and Hodson were working when two shots exploded prematurely near midnight as they neared the shaft depth of 325 feet. Clifford Crane the engineer raised the bucket and found Hodson unconscious. remaining charges then exploded.
