Kennedy NRD director dies in farm accident near Bushnell
Ronald W Kennedy 34 South Platte Natural Resources District director died Monday after his arm became entangled in a grain loader at his farm five miles southeast of Bushnell. He was a two year NRD board member and active conservation leader. Funeral services were held this morning. He is survived by his wife Joyce and three children Randall Reanna and Vicki. Burial at Kimball Cemetery.

Plane Crash Kills Wife of Lincoln Doctor Near Hebron
An injured Lincoln physician walked about a mile to seek help for himself and his four injured children after a twin engine Beechcraft Baron crashed about one mile from U S Highway 81 near Hebron. Dr James Styner, of the Lincoln Orthopedic Clinic, was unharmed but his wife was killed. The four children are Christopher 10 Rickey 8 Randy 5 and Kimberly 3. Two young men who had just off work found the crash site, took the children to a Hebron hospital, and Sheriff Jim Johnson reported the plane demolished on prairie land near a farm pond.
