Prairie fire near Burlington depot stops at road
Tuesday night about eight o'clock a prairie fire started one mile south of the Burlington depot. A strip one mile long and about 200 rods wide burned, then halted by the road and fire guard. Only prairie grass burned. crowds gathered thinking it a Firemen's Ball ad.
