Iron bridge project replaces wooden span near Bronson
Engineer C. H. Sawyer arrived in the city Tuesday to relieve Engineer Cowan and oversee surveyors needed for locating an iron bridge west of Bronson to replace the wooden structure. Cowan took a month off and returned to Maine. Surveyors moved to Bushnell, with Webster Burg of Sidney in Sawyer’s party. Union Pacific plans iron bridges on the Nebraska division this summer.
