New Banner County Courthouse Planned For 1958 Start
Banner county votes authorized a new one story brick courthouse with nearly double the floor space planned for the old frame building. Architect Robert Ditzner of Boulder, Colorado, will draft initial plans as the county banked about 100000 dollars for construction and equipment. The existing 1889 structure, built after Banner county split from Cheyenne, was donated by C A Schooley.

Stockholders rejected dissolution and discussed two building proposals including a 51 unit hotel motel costing about 300000 with equipment 80000 to 90000.

William Spencer Noyes 86 died in Cheyenne County Memorial Hospital after three weeks there and prior rest home stay in Scottsbluff. A Sidney resident 37 years, he was a carpenter. Funeral Tuesday 2 PM at First Christian Church with Rev. W. K. Hasenyager. burial Greenwood Cemetery. Survived by wife Anna bell, two daughters, one son, two grandchildren, two great grandchildren, one brother Jasper Noyes. born April 18 1870 in Lawrenceburg Indiana.
