Early in the week Captain Litton of the Home Guards called for a Wednesday night meeting in the District Court room. A full house of loyal men attended as eight non commissioned officers were appointed sergeants Kilroy Clinton Hardy Fuller, corporals Rummelhart Fine Wallis McCleneghan, with Gibbs offering services. A uniforms committee was named and Sidney hopes to build a ready Home Guard unit rivaling any in the state. The Governor has commissioned the company and leaders are eager to proceed. membership urged.
