Last week the county mourned long time residents Mrs. Dora Hiett and George C. Fischer, among early developers of the region. Hiett, born February 27 1854 in Table Grove Illinois, married W I Hiett in 1874 and lived on a Cheyenne County homestead before moving to Sidney in 1922. Funeral at Christian Church with Rev J H Bicknell officiating. Fischer, born April 4 1845 in Switzerland, settled south of Sidney in 1885 and married Martha Bogart in 1871. eight children. Funeral at Methodist Church with Rev Hal F Schenck. burial in Dunkard Cemetery.
