Farmers Institute Delights Cheyenne County Meeting
The Cheyenne County Farmers Institute convened at the courthouse on Tuesday morning February 9 at 10 o'clock with L A Ganson Lodge Pole elected president and PR Borgquist and A I Woodman secretaries. The afternoon program covered growing vegetables with practical seed, hot beds, transplanting, and dairy topics by SC Bassett, Isaac Willard, and others, plus discussions on sheep farming, timber and fruit suitability in western Nebraska, and a strong endorsement of University education through Chancellor Canfield and professors Ingersoll and Taylor.
