Former Potter Man To Be Tried March 18
Charles W. Neal, once a Potter resident and former Colorado prison inmate, pleads not guilty to murdering Ida Hansen of Columbus Nebraska. The trial is scheduled for March 18. Neal was arrested in Iowa eighteen months after Miss Hansen’s badly burned body was found in a Florissant Colorado prospector’s pit. She had been beaten to death and relatives in Nebraska received a telegram with her name claiming she was married and honeymooning in South America. Neal admits business with Hansen and buying her car but denies knowledge of her death.
