Disappearance of John Frahm Baffles Police
Police seek to locate the body of John Frahm after a burned car near Julesburg is connected to his disappearance. Investigators note forged checks bearing his signature cashed last December and a white Spitz dog linked to Frahm’s party, seen near the scene, has been found. A Dodge vehicle with a long box on its running board was reported in Julesburg, and authorities search for a box matching that description, hoping it contains the missing man. A Colt .32 revolver, reportedly owned by Frahm, was observed in Sidney within the past two weeks.

Grave hunt spans western Nebraska for missing John Frahm
A wide Sedgwick County Colorado and western Nebraska search area extends from Sedgwick County Colorado to Devel Garden Cheyenne and other sections for John Frahm’s grave. Sheriff Condit had urged farmers to search farms. He met officials Monday as deputies pressed on, with no new clues. Fred Frahm, linked to John’s disappearance, led undercover prohibition officers arrested after Harold Sollers killing near North Platte May 14, 1926. Sollers’ death sparked manslaughter verdicts for officers Johnson and Runyan. Frahm was released, moved to Sidney, later became night marshal. Public notice included a Legion Auxiliary food sale at Greenlees on Saturday February 9.
