Clark balks at new tax exemption bills in Nebraska
Senator Robert Clark of Sidney critiques three introduced bills in the Nebraska Legislature affecting personal property tax exemptions. LB851 seeks to end exemptions for farmers and businesses, LB850 would shift refunds toward Bellevue, and LB914 would cap exemptions at $1,000. Clark vows resistance, arguing the 1972 compromise was fair and urging careful evaluation of budget plans and University funding.
