Nora Paine seven year old daughter of Mr and Mrs Frank Taine of Bridgeport is killed after a horse she rode home from school runs away. Her foot caught in the stirrup and she is dragged a half mile. Mrs Paine collapses on the road as Walter Kennedy carries her to the house and then to comfort the child. Funeral at Bridgeport Presbyterian Church with burial in Bridgeport cemetery. She leaves two younger siblings.

Narrow escape as plane flies low over Eldmey streets
Dick Evans of North Platte piloted the aircraft with W H McMullan aboard, performing perilous stunts over Eldmey after 6 pm. The plane skimmed rooftops within 20 feet, then struck the air mail field wheel first, breaking an axle.
