Ada Durnell longtime Sidney resident died Sunday morning after a long illness at her Elm street home. Funeral services are planned Thursday at two o'clock at Gehrig Funeral Home with Rev. Marcus Lucas of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church Alliance officiating. Interment follows at Sidney Greenwood cemetery. She moved to Sidney in 1900. her husband C. C. Durnell was a barber and businessman here. A fuller obituary will appear Friday.

Sidney plans a special election on February 4 to authorize issuing 33 000 dollars in general obligation bonds to acquire airport property two miles south of town.
