Missionary Priest to Conduct Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve

Rev. William Murphy, stationed 2000 miles up the Amazon in Brazil for 11 years, will lead the traditional midnight mass at St. Patrick's Church on Christmas Eve. He is visiting Sidney to attend a missionary order meeting and plans to return to Brazil in February.

Visiting Hours At Hospital Relaxed On Christmas Day

Cheyenne County Memorial Hospital will relax visiting hours on Christmas Day. Administr ator Frank Harris announced visitors may come at any time during the day and early evening. Arrangements were made to feed certain immediate family members of patients in the hospital that day to add cheer to the holiday. He noted patient load is usually lowest during Christmas week.

Water-hauling truck overturns near Potter. driver unharmed

Nebraska Safety Patrol estimated damage at £900 after a 1955 water-hauling truck driven by 18 year old Richard Uhrick of Kimball ran off a county road northeast of Potter. The vehicle spun onto its side but Uhrick escaped injury.
