Harm Frerichs, Early Day Settler, Is Dead
Santa Rosa informant reports the death of Harm Frerichs, Cheyenne county homesteader who moved to California in 1925. He arrived in the county in the 1880s and was well known to early residents. He is survived by daughter Mrs. John Seifer, Sr., and sons Alfred and William Frerichs. Mrs. Seifer and one Frerichs member traveled to Santa Rosa last week as he was critically ill.

Amputate Girl's Arm After Shot By Suitor

Youth’s hunting accident claims Elmer Ewert life
Elmer Ewert twenty son of Mr and Mrs H W Ewert near Gurley died in a Sidney hospital after a hunting accident. County officials said a bullet lodged in the skull and was removed in an operation to relieve pressure, but recovery was unlikely. The incident involved Ewert and three friends on a small game hunt when a bullet from a 22 caliber rifle struck him following a rock throw.

Mrs Anna Bratz 65 widow of pioneer homesteader Fred Bratz died Tuesday night at Kimball Hospital after three years of ill health. A native of Illinois she moved to Cheyenne County in 1892, married in 1892, and homesteaded near Dalton before moving there in 1927. Survived by son Otto a farmer east of Dalton. Funeral Saturday at 1 pm from Dalton Lutheran Church with Rev Hugh Dowler officiating. Interment in Dalton Cemetery. Rice Funeral Service in charge.
