Nativity Scene Lights Going On Tomorrow at Panabaker Farm
The ninth annual Nativity display opens tomorrow at the Panabaker farm near Dalton. Mr and Mrs Panabaker invite the public to visit and enjoy illuminated scenes including Santa Claus, elves, carolers and the animated star. Past years draw visitors from surrounding states and counties, with signs guiding travelers from Route 19.

Powell prominent Sidney hardware dealer dies at 60
D. Powell a longtime Sidney hardware dealer and liquid gas businessman died at Bridgeport Hospital after a heart seizure. Funeral services are Friday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Sidney with interment at Greenwood Cemetery. He came to Sidney in 1932, owned the R E L Jackson Hardware Store, and was active in local commerce and trade associations. He was born March 25 1888 in Pawnee County Nebraska and survived by Grace his wife two sons Richard D. of Gering and Roy Thomas of Wyoming and several grandchildren. Continuous body viewing and Rotary service scheduled at his Linden Street residence.

Police Report Same Time Second Verse
Sidnay police investigated two two car accidents late Monday afternoon at the same corner 13th and. A car driven by Mary Laubner stopped for a traffic light and Erma Stewart slid on ice into the first car causing about 25 dollars damage. About eight minutes later Anta Dorman stopped for the light when Ralph Crites slid on ice into the Dorman car causing about 35 dollars damage to the Dorman car and about 10 dollars to the Crites auto.
