Chamber to Install New Board at Sidney Dinner

Cheyenne County Chamber of Commerce will install four new directors tonight at the Sidney Country Club dinner. Ena Sample becomes Ladies Chamber president, replacing retiring Jean Kelley, with Mrs. Sample from The Sidney Telegraph. New directors include Ron Holly of Holly Realty and Bill Peterson of Greenlee's while holdovers John Laing and Bill Maddox return for two year terms. Gene Lienemann becomes immediate past president as Dennis Wamsley and Richard Fix depart the board. Returning members include Don Schrader Gary Custer and community representatives from Dalton Potter Gurley Lodgepole.

County board to set salaries for elected officials

The Cheyenne County Board will set salaries for county officials at its next meeting on December 19. Salaries must be set at least 60 days before March 9, the candidate-name filing deadline. Current salaries listed for assessor, attorney, clerk, and other offices.

ASC Elects Cheyenne County ASC Committee Members

Dolan Larson of Gurley re elected to the Cheyenne County Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Committee with a three year term. Rexroth Lostroh and Draper Behrends renamed as holdover and alternates. Rexroth will chair the county committee next year and Lostroh serves as regular member. The delegates also re elected Arnold Draper and Bill Behrends as first and second alternates.

ASC approves emergency feed program for county farms

The Cheyenne County ASC committee can approve emergency livestock feed aid up to 50 percent of feed costs on a case by case basis. Producers should file with the county ASCS office. The same meeting covered expanded Grain Reserve Program loans and storage payments for wheat corn oats sorghum barley with a 75 11 8 6 percent mix and set release and call levels at 140 and 175 percent of the loan rate.
