Charles Mayer Funeral Set In Potter Saturday
Charles M Mayer 82 of Potter died Wednesday in Kimball Hospital. Funeral services are set for 1 00 oclock Saturday morning at Potter Methodist Church with Rev Erwin Kiel officiating. Burial will follow in Potter Cemetery. Craig Holchek Funeral Home handles arrangements. He was born May 6 1885 in Hebron Iowa and lived in Dalton before moving to Potter in 1953. He is survived by his widow son Maynard and daughters Evelyn Shoemaker Shirley Coulter, plus a brother three sisters 19 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

They note that snow spray and angel hair are highly flammable when combined and warn trees are not fireproof. A borax boric acid solution sprayed on the tree before decorating reduces fire risk, and some mixture can be used on paper and cotton batting decorations. Only UL marked lighting sets should be used.

Panabaker Christmas Wonderland Opens 18th Year
Dalton Nebraska resident Ralph Panabaker and his wife prepare the 18th annual Christmas display at their farm one mile south and six east of Dalton. The exhibit features a life size organ, mechanical figures, Santa’s workshop, a Nativity, miniature village, and 172 bulb star light show attracting up to 3000 visitors yearly. The display runs with homemade elements and a Heart Fund donation box. The Panabakers’ four year old daughter Anna Louise is part of the growing family and project management. Visitors reach the display via Dalton turnoffs on Highway 30 and Highway 385.
