Three members of the city planning commission have been reappointed to succeed themselves. J. K. Mahr, Geo. H. Fleming and H. Glenn Spearow will serve terms that run out at year end. The board has nine members in total.
The Cheyenne County Board met in the Commissioner's Room in Sidney Neb on December 4 1951 with Chairman George Fleming presiding. Present were Cecil Hunt George Fleming George Coulter Jack R Knicely County Attorney I L Pindell and County Clerk. The board reviewed minutes, approved accounts including Emergency Relief Fund Mother’s Pension and various road and fund expenditures, awarded floor covering bid for the County Assessor's Office, read the Jail Report for year ending November 1, and adjourned until December 18 1951 or by chairman call.
The Elkhorn Tavern beer license was suspended for twenty one days starting after last Saturday’s close of business. The state liquor commission issued the action following a hearing last week, with sale of beer to a minor cited as the central charge.
