Cheyenne County CROP drive ended last weekend raising 1871 dollars for overseas relief. Ed Gerlach, county CROP chairman, said the total exceeds last year by about 700 dollars. Wheat and cash contributions included 622 bushels and 50 pounds of wheat valued at 1401.38 dollars, with cash donations of 469 dollars. Gerlach thanked all contributors and praised CROP’s work in fostering ties with overseas neighbors.

Cheyenne County land sales showcased strong prices despite cold weather. Public May Inspect UP Blood Train
The Armed Forces Blood Procurement Car stops here next Friday December 14 for public inspection from 9 to 11 with appointments required at 11. Dr. Marvin Sherrerd, a Sidney optometrist, moved from 2nd Lieutenant to 1st Lieutenant. he previously instructed at Gardner Field Taft and served as a B-24 1st Pilot with the 4th Air Force. Flight C was visited Wednesday night by Col. Harold B. Wesley of Rapid City, Maj. Jack L. Pedler from Scottsbluff, and Capt. Richard L. Collester, Liaison Officer from Rapid City.
