Local column reports Miss Lona Cronberg of Bronson died Friday morning at St Johns hospital after surgical operation to combat a pleurisy related malady. Her funeral was held in Sidney and she was widely mourned by Bronson and Sidney friends.
Local residents and visitors travel to Omaha Lincoln and North Platte while merchants display holiday stocks. A variety of townspeople, officials, and professionals are noted, including post office policy changes and plans for a new branch store in Sterling. The season’s entertainment and freight business rise as public events and auctions draw crowds.

Arion Male Quartet delivers a strong lecture course performance with Mr Daugherty solos praised. Dr Yarlett of Lodgepole avoids a $630 liquor fine by eluding Sheriff Babb. Sidney Lodge No 196 AOUW elects officers including M W Frank Ackerman and Foreman Wa Schimpf. Terry's Ten Nights in a Bar Room praised by Peoria Journal. Hunter Bros magic and art act set for January 8 at Tobin Opera House. Mrs Helen L Bullock to speak on temperance December 26 with two sermons on Sunday. Citizens seek an opera house meeting and fund-raising to widen attendance.
The Scottsbluff Herald quotes Sidney claiming the town has two opera houses and the Telegraph praising the finest playhouse in western Nebraska while Scottsbluff, with similar population, lacks a decent hall. The piece challenges local men with money to fund a substantial business building with a hall above.
